Food Therapy is the private practice of registered dietitian, lifestyle and sports nutritionist Yvette Quantz, LD, RD, CSSD, CLT. Yvette started Food Therapy in 2008 with a fresh, approach to nutrition consulting. The Food Therapy approach considers the whole person – their personality, lifestyle, family, and career – as integral parts of a successful overall nutrition plan.
Yvette provides counseling to both adults and children and specializes in working with clients on: weight management, sports nutrition, food sensitivities and food allergies, eating disorder treatment and recovery, and prenatal nutrition.
As the visionary of Foodspiration™ a line that was created along with designer Stephanie Weinbring from Dallas, TX, Yvette firmly believes that every individual has the power to achieve their maximum potential. Sometimes though, we just need a little more inspiration and reminder of how to get where we are going!
Yvette has been published in several magazines and newspapers, including: The Daily Advertiser, Acadiana Moms, FACE Magazine , Inform, Sophisticated Women, D Magazine and Looks Magazine. She also serves as a media spokesperson for the Acadiana area of Louisiana. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Louisiana Dietetic Association, Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionist, and Nutrition Entrepreneurs.
Yvette has served as the nutrition program director for one of the top fitness centers in the nation, TELOS Fitness Center. She developed a nutrition program for TELOS large enough to fit all members’ needs—from family nutrition and meal planning, to professional athletes, business executives, and everyday active individuals.
Yvette has also worked at Pelican Athletic Club in Mandeville, Louisiana, where she consulted with athletes ranging from NFL Combine Candidates to Southeastern University’s baseball team. While at Pelican, Yvette created Health Nuts, a children’s weight management and exercise program.
Yvette graduated from Louisiana State University with a BS in Kinesiology and went on to a degree in dietetics and nutrition from Nicholls State University. She completed her dietetic internship in 2003 at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
